History of the institution
The Lublin Science and Technology Park S.A. (LSTP) was founded to facilitate the flow of knowledge and technology between science and business. The Park was established in 2005 as a joint initiative of Lublin voivodeship local government and the University of Life Science in Lublin. Team of the Lublin Science and Technology Park S.A. works restlessly to help young enterpreneurs start and develop their own business and transfer technologies. The Park shares premises and technical infrastructure with clients to provide the most favorable conditions to run business. The Lublin Science and Technology Park S.A. is located on Bohdan Dobrzanski 3 Street in Lublin, in the immediate vicinity of the subzone of Lublin Special Economic Sphere EURO-PARK 'Mielec'. The mission of the LSTP is to support the development of Lublin Voivodeship by creating a platform of cooperation between Lublin universities and business and start-up owners. In June 2015 the Lublin Institute of Design was created in the structure of the Lublin Science and Technology Park. The Institute's mission is to promote design as a strategic factor for economic development. The aim of the Institute is to set standards and innovation, to promote good practices and to create a platform for cooperation between Lublin universities, business, designers and public administration. The Institute's activities are to help increase the use of design in the processes of innovative companies and public institutions. The role of the Institute is to support the creative sector, promote design, and internationalize products and services from the Lubelskie Voivodeship.
History of RO
Due to the fact that it is impossible to separate the RO from The Lublin Science and Technology Park S.A. (LSTP), the assumption was taken that the history of the RO is the same that the history of the LSTP – see: 1.12.
