History of the institution
The Logistics Initiative Hamburg (LIHH) was founded in 2006 as a cluster initiative for logistics and logistics-related business in the Hamburg metropolitan region as a public-private partnership. The aim is to establish a platform for innovation transfer, location profiling and networking of industry, science and research together with partners from the logistics and logistics-related industries. The LIHH is embedded in the cluster-oriented economic policy of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, with which the city is to be sustainably positioned in international competition in strategic future fields.
History of RO
As a public-private partnership, Logistik Initiative Hamburg promotes the positioning of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region as a trend-setting innovative logistics region in Europe until 2025. Through its activities Logistik Initiative Hamburg supports logistics-related companies and institutions and facilitate the transfer of knowledge between business, science, politics and administration. Together with its members Logistik Initiative Hamburg activates cooperation and innovation. The main projects are: AVATAR, ITS strategy for Hamburg, SMILE, Logistics Youngsters, Logistics Detectives, FED4SAE, SYNCHROLOG, ChainLog, etc.
