History of the institution
The Hungarian Sport- and Lifestyle Development Cluster was founded in May 2011. The main purpose of the cluster is to promote and co-ordinate the cooperation of the small and medium-sized enterprises, educational, municipal, R+D profile institutions interested in sport and health promotion, and to exploit the potential of the cooperation. Main activities are: - Gathering and sharing the information concerning the cluster and the cluster's members - Organization of events related to sports and healthy living, - Managing the Nagyerdei Football Stadium - Advice to the cluster's members (R+D, tenders, best practices, generation and managing of projects, business planning) - The enhancement of the cooperation between the members, the quest of new cooperative possibility and creation of business opportunities, - Cluster representation and professional interest representation - Active member of the European Platform for Sport Innovation
History of RO
As Hungary does not have regional S3 strategies, only a national one, there are no regional observatories or organizations appointed for monitoring tasks and activities. The role of the National Research, Innovation and Development Office is not solely the monitoring of implementation of RIS3 strategy, but also the coordination of compiling the strategy itself. In the compilation of national S3 strategy the regional innovation agencies or local agencies also played significant role in order to define the strengths and opportunities of the counties of Hungary. Because of the unique role, extended network, professional skills of the Hungarian Sport- and Lifestyle Development Cluster in the region, the cluster could be a potential Regional Observatory. The main purpose of the cluster is to promote and co-ordinate the cooperation of the small and medium-sized enterprises, educational, municipal, R+D profile institutions interested in sport and health promotion, and to exploit the potential of the cooperation.
